The Liberty volleyball team has now won 14 consecutive matches with its victory over Centennial on Tuesday night. The Redhawks, who are No. 3 in the Dallas Morning News’ SportsDayHS.com 5A rankings, lead District 9-5A with a 12-0 record and have already clinched a playoff spot.

Lebanon Trail (10-2 in District) and Wakeland (8-4) also look headed for playoff spots. But with six matches remaining, the race for the District’s fourth and final playoff spot looks like it will be very interesting.

Frisco, with its win on Tuesday night, improved its record to 5-7 in District play. The District standings are tightly bunched in the middle:

Liberty … 12-0
Lebanon Trail … 10-2
Wakeland … 8-4
Centennial … 5-7
Frisco … 5-7
Independence … 5-7
Reedy … 5-7
Heritage … 4-8
Memorial … 4-8
Lone Star … 2-10

Key matchups Friday night include Centennial playing at Frisco. The two teams are currently in a four-way tie for fourth place in the District.
